Daily Hair Care Tips
Overall Concept
Healthy hair starts with both internal and external attention:
External Care - Choose the right tools and products to reduce pulling and heat damage.
Internal State - Maintain a balanced diet, adequate sleep, and stress reduction to maintain a balanced overall state of mind for your body and hair.
Good tools can make hair care more effective, but even the best tools can become a hindrance if you don't use them properly. So remember these three key words: gentle, sectioned, and as-needed. Treat your hair gently, break down your care into steps, and adjust the method and frequency based on your hair type and goals.
Use Order and Tips
Shampooing and Conditioning (Wet Hair)
After shampooing, gently massage your hair with a towel to absorb moisture rather than rubbing. Concentrate conditioner on the mid-lengths and ends of your hair. Apply a hair mask once a week for deep nourishment.
Combing (Wet to Dry Hair)
Start by using a wide-tooth comb or anti-static comb on wet hair to remove tangles and avoid pulling. When dry, use a wooden comb to smooth the ends and gently massage your scalp.
Heat Protection and Blow-drying
If using a hair dryer or straightening brush, be sure to spray it with heat protection beforehand. When blow-drying, blow-dry your hair until it's 70% to 80% dry. Work in sections, using medium-low heat and following the flow of the hair. Finish with cool air to set.
Finishing with a Wooden Comb (Dry Hair)
A wooden comb can reduce static. Finish by combing from the ends upwards, then gently massage your scalp for 3–5 minutes to relax your hair and scalp.
Using a Straightening Brush
Only use this on dry or slightly damp hair. Use the lowest temperature that achieves the desired effect. Gently combing through your hair multiple times is safer than using a high-temperature, intensive application.
Daily Recommendations for Different Hair Types
Fine/Broken Hair: Avoid high temperatures and blow-dry in sections at low temperatures. Use a straightening brush only to gently smooth out frizz and moisturize and condition.
Coarse/Curly/Volume Hair: Use a moderate medium heat setting and use a wide-tooth comb with a large nozzle to comb in the direction of the hair. A straightening brush can be used for styling, but avoid repetitive use. Oily Scalp/Dry Hair Ends: Focus on scalp cleansing when shampooing, concentrate conditioner on the ends, and gently massage the scalp with a wooden comb to help balance.
Tool Care Tips
Hair Dryer: Clean the air inlet filter every 2–4 weeks to prevent dust accumulation. Keep dry when storing, and avoid excessive tangling of the cord.
Wooden Combs: Clean regularly, quickly rinse with warm water, and wipe dry. Avoid soaking and exposure to direct sunlight. Sandalwood combs can be occasionally wiped with a natural oil to maintain their shine.
Straightening/Heated Combs: Wipe with a dry or slightly damp cloth after cooling, avoiding scratching the surface with sharp objects. Discontinue use if damaged.
Periodic Hair Care Routine
Daily: Gently comb with a wooden comb, scalp massage for 1–3 minutes. If using hot tools, always use heat protection.
Weekly: Apply a deep hair mask; increase this to twice a week if you frequently color or perm your hair.
Monthly: Trim the ends of your hair, check your hair quality, adjust your shampoo and conditioner products accordingly, and thoroughly clean your tools.
Common Problems and Solutions
Frizz/Static: Use a wooden comb instead of a plastic one, and apply a moderate amount of leave-in hair oil.
Split Ends/Breakage: Reduce frequent high-heat treatments, trim regularly, and apply a repairing hair mask.
Oily Scalp/Dandruff: Choose a gentle anti-dandruff shampoo and conditioner, and massage gently. If severe, consult a doctor.
Damage from dyeing or perming: Focus on protein repair and minimize heat styling for a month.
Tips: Quick Styling
Smooth Straight Hair (Medium-Length Hair): Wash and Condition → Heat Protect → Blow-dry until 80% dry → Blow-dry with a round brush → Gently comb with a straightening brush on low heat → Set with a cool air setting → Apply oil to the ends.
Fluffy Short Hair (Men's/Short Hair): Blow from the roots at low heat, high speed, loosen with your fingers, and secure with a light setting spray.
Tool Selection and Replacement
Hair Dryer: Focus on stable wind speed, temperature control, weight, and noise.
Wooden Comb: Round, burr-free teeth, moderate density, and excellent durability. Straightening Brush: Provides even heating, adjustable temperature, and safety features.
For business trips: Choose a lightweight and durable folding model.
